1. IS THERE A CHARGE FOR KIDS CLUB?
Yes. There is a $20.00 annual registration fee per child. Parents
are charged $3.25 an hour. Additional children in the same family
are charged $3.00 an hour. There is a 2 hour minimum per child charged
any day the service is used. There are no charges on days you do
not use the service.
2. DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR BREAKFAST, SNACKS OR SPECIAL PROJECTS?
No. Children participate in regular school breakfast. There is
no extra charge for afternoon snacks or special projects.
3. How do I know what amount to pay?
An invoice, with the parent/guardian name, is sent to the Kids Club site every other week. The parent/guardian is responsible for picking up the statement and paying at that time. Checks or money orders will be accepted at the Kids Club site. Cash payments must be made at the OSF/Kids Club Office at 3215 Cuming Street, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
4. WHO TAKES CARE OF THE CHILDREN?
There is a Director at each site. There are additional staff members
to make up a 1:15 adult to child ratio. All staff members meet or
exceed the qualifications set by the Nebraska Department of Health
and Human Services.
5. IS KIDS CLUB LICENSED?
Yes. All sites are fully licensed by the Nebraska Department of
Health and Human Services, and governed by their regulations.
6. Where does my child go when there is early dismissal?
Kids Club will be open at early dismissal time at each site.
7. Is Kids Club open on snow days?
Because of safety concerns, if the district cancels school, Kids
Club is also cancelled.
8. Will Kids Club be open for non-school(consolidated) days?
Kids Club will be open during teacher in-service days, parent/teacher
conference days, winter and spring break days. All of the Kids Club
sites will be able to use the service on those days at Jefferson
or Prairie Wind from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Breakfast and an
afternoon snack will be provided. Children should bring a non-refrigerated sack lunch
and drink for the noon meal.
9. Will I be notified about non-school (consolidated) days at
Kids Club?
There is a calendar online and in the
parent handbook, which lists the dates we are open for consolidated
days. A sign up sheet is also posted at each Kids Club site for
parents or guardians to reserve space for their child for that day.
There is a fee of $25.00 for the first child, $20.00 for additional
children in the same family that is to be paid at the time of sign
up.
10. WHAT HAPPENS IF I'M LATE PICKING UP MY CHILD?
There is a $10.00 fee for every 15 minutes per child after 6:00
PM.
